Wright Brothers Airplane Model Competition

In this competition, students must build the model of the famous Wright’s Brothers 1903 airplane (see the example image below).

Participants Selection:

• This competition is open to groups of 4 students.

Details of the Wright Brothers Competition:

1. The model must be made before they come for the competition day at USM.
2. Entries not complying with the rules and regulations of the competition will be disqualified.
3. Judging criteria will be based on how accurate their model constructions are to the original Wright Brothers design, and the overall quality of the constructions of the models.
4. Judges decision is final.

Materials:

1. Toothpicks Matchsticks / ‘satay’-sticks
2. Glue / adhesive tapes / plasticine / thread
3. Manila card / foam / clay

Dimension:

• The wingspan length must not exceed 1m.
